Ready, Set, Go!
In our classroom we work hard, and we have fun! We strive to do our personal best, and we celebrate the accomplishments we make. Through many projects, we learn to work together and cooperate with each other. Additionally, we focus on positive character traits. We look for these across all subjects throughout the entire school year. So, get ready, get set, go -- let's have a great fourth grade year together!
Responsibility
Fourth grade is a wonderful time to learn responsibility! This skill will help build success this year, in fifth and sixth grades, in junior high, in high school, in college, and in life. We perform many routine activities to promote responsibility.
We will:
- Record homework every day in our homework planners
- View daily and weekly assignments posted in the classroom
- Fully discuss each assignment
- Learn how to prioritize assignment completion
- Understand what to do if an assignment is lost
- Brainstorm how to do parts of larger assignments to avoid feeling overwhelmed
- Celebrate the good feeling of arriving at school prepared for the day
- Enjoy the feeling of being in control of our schoolwork and learning
