Dear 4th Grade Families,

 

 

Welcome to the wonderful world of 4th Grade at Ridgeview School! My name is Jan Walker and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year! I know our days together will be exciting and full of learning opportunities for all of us. I am committed to creating a positive and successful classroom environment that promotes each student’s desire to achieve.

 

 

Please arrive well before 9:05 on the first day of school with your child and come straight to our classroom, room 403. I am anxious to meet each of my students and learn something about them.  Your child will then be directed to find their seat, organize their school supplies, locate their cubby, and then they are free to work on the paper at their desk. Specific and step-by-step directions will be posted on the Promethian Board.

 

 

School ends for Ridgeview 4th Graders at 3:30 on everyday but Mondays.   At pickup time, class will be dismissed and students released.  Please communicate with your child where you will be meeting after school or which bus to take.  I will escort bus riders to the appropriate bus line the first week of school.  Ask your child about 4 things they can remember about the first day of fourth grade.  Encourage them to share their opinion on room 403 class rules.  Remind them that their teacher, Ms. Walker, values them as her student.  Also, return the complete office forms  and Wednesday folder.
