I have been teaching in the Eureka School District for 23 years.  Prior to this, I taught in Southern California. I feel that teaching children to “read, write, and do arithmetic” is an  important and a rewarding job.  Good teachers are lifelong learners  – over the years I have taken many courses.  I have participated in the district's Twenty-first Century courses, Common Core trainings and technology courses.

I’ve been married to my husband, Bob, for 37 years and we have two adult children. Our daughters both attended school in the Eureka Union School District from K-8th grades and then went on to Granite Bay High School. Both attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

My hobbies include gardening, reading, and traveling. I love the outdoors and prefer the mountains and ocean to the city any day.  Entertaining friends and family is fun for me, and dining out with my husband is a favorite activity.
